Spector는 30년 넘게 위성 부문에서 경력을 쌓았다. 정부와 업계에서 큰 존경을 받으며, 풍부한 경험을 쌓은 변호사인 그는 Intelsat의 사업개발 부사장이자 법무 자문위원으로 일했다. 그는 Intelsat에서 주요 산업 합병, 한 프라이빗 에퀴티 그룹에서 다른 프라이빗 에퀴티 그룹으로의 166억 달러 규모의 Intelsat 매각, 250억 달러가 넘는 재정 거래와 관련한 법률과 규제 업무를 담당했다. 또한, 그는 Intelsat 이사회 임원으로도 재직했다. 그 외에 두 개의 주요 국제 법률사무소에서 통신과 위성법 업무를 맡기도 했다.

WASHINGTON, July 19, 2018/PRNewswire/ -- Phasor, the leading developer of enterprise-grade electronically-steered antenna (ESA) systems for mobile broadband, announced today that satellite industry veteran and Satellite Hall of Fame member Phillip Spector has joined the Phasor Board of Directors.

Spector's career in the satellite sector spans over 30 years. A highly respected and experienced attorney in government and business, he was formerly Executive Vice President, Business Development, and General Counsel of Intelsat, where he was responsible for legal and regulatory matters in connection with a major industry merger, the $16.6 billion sale of Intelsat from one private equity group to another, and over $25 billion in financing transactions. He was also a member of Intelsat's Board of Directors. Spector's career also includes the practice of telecommunications and satellite law at two major international law firms.
After graduating from Harvard with a Master's degree in public policy and a law degree, Mr. Spector clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and for Justice Thurgood Marshall of the U.S. Supreme Court. He then served in the White House as Associate Assistant to the President, focusing on public outreach, foreign relations and defense matters.
