(JAKARTA, Indonesia, July 26, 2017 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) Nexteer Automotive [http://www.nexteer.com/ ], a global leader in intuitive motion control, today opened a new manufacturing plant in Bekasi, West Java in Indonesia. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nexteer, the Indonesia plant will mainly manufacture brush column-assist electric power steering (CEPS) and began to ramp up operations in July.
As Nexteer's 12th manufacturing plant in the Asia Pacific region, the Indonesian plant is located in the east of Bekasi, West Java and has a floor space of nearly 3,000 square meters. The plant will provide electric power steering (EPS) products and services for the Indonesian subsidiary of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile (SGMW), facilitating its overseas business development strategy as a long-term partner. In March 2017, Nexteer was awarded the Overseas Pioneering Award by SGMW for its safe, on-time delivery of projects and high-quality products. This is another important milestone for Nexteer, right after Wuling Motors' successful inauguration on July 11th when the first Confero S type car rolled off the line.
