Novatech is a specialized waste processing equipment enterprise that manufactures and supplies core components necessary for the operation of waste treatment facilities, while also performing on-site installation and maintenance. The company aims to alleviate the heavy financial burden of high equipment maintenance and replacement costs faced by conventional waste management firms. By doing so, it enhances clients' operational efficiency and price competitiveness, while simultaneously supporting ESG management and contributing to the resolution of critical domestic waste management challenges. The company was founded in June 2025 by CEO Min Ho Lim (57).

The company's flagship item is the ‘High-Durability Shredder Blade Utilizing Recycled Scrap Metal.’

“Currently, domestic municipal and industrial waste is increasing exponentially in South Korea”, CEO Lim explained. “However, the blades—which are the core consumable components of the shredding equipment used to process this waste—mostly rely on expensive new alloy steel or are heavily dependent on imports.”

Novatech manufactures blades with exceptional strength and wear resistance by applying proprietary alloy design and specialized heat-treatment processes to scrap metal (waste metal), a metallic resource typically discarded at industrial sites. CEO Lim emphasized, “Our vision is to realize a resource-circulation structure that reincarnates discarded metal resources into high-value-added industrial components.”

“The primary competitiveness of the products developed by Novatech lies in their durability and economic viability”, Lim stated. “Waste processing shredders operate for extended periods under high-load, high-friction, and high-impact conditions, repeatedly cutting and crushing various high-strength materials such as metals, plastics, wood, and mixed waste. This leads to rapid blade wear, imposing continuous operating expenses on waste management companies due to frequent replacements and maintenance. Novatech utilizes a proprietary special heat treatment process to significantly enhance the hardness, toughness, and wear resistance of the blades, thereby extending product lifespan compared to existing alternatives and ensuring stable cutting performance even in extreme working environments. Through this, we deliver tangible benefits, including extended blade replacement cycles, minimized equipment downtime, and reduced maintenance costs, concurrently elevating both the operational stability and economic efficiency of waste processing facilities.”

The feasibility of realizing environmental value (ESG) is another core strength. By implementing Novatech's high-durability components, companies can lower equipment replacement cycles and maintenance frequencies, thereby reducing the operating cost burden in the waste treatment process. Moving beyond simple cost reduction, this expands the foundation for resource-circulating manufacturing, contributing to the sustainability of domestic waste processing infrastructure and the realization of industrial ESG values.

Novatech seeks to keep pace with the domestic waste management market, which is transitioning toward larger scales and specialization driven by increasing treatment demands and facility modernization. Aligning with these market shifts, the company has designated relevant municipal organizations and private enterprises that operate large-scale waste treatment plants, recycling sorting facilities, and resource circulation centers as its primary target clients, and is actively pursuing tailored on-site sales strategies.

Novatech collaborates with specialized partners possessing top-tier expertise for major manufacturing processes such as forging, heat treatment, and grinding. The company currently drives its business through a flexible and practically oriented team structure tailored to its current operational stage.

Regarding future plans, CEO Lim stated, “We will continuously improve the durability and economic efficiency of core components used in waste shredding facilities while expanding our portfolio of on-site applications. Our immediate goal is to stabilize product quality based on our manufacturing process collaborations with existing partners, verify performance in actual waste treatment environments, and build a solid track record of supply deliveries.”
