The morning following the birth of their first child, the husband was mistakenly directed to the room of another new mother on the maternity ward. As he walked into the room, he bent over the napping mother, whose back was turned to him, and gave her a big kiss. The woman was startled to see a stranger. But before she could say anything, the man smiled and said, “I didn’t know having a baby would change you this much!”
첫 아이가 태어난 이튿날 산원을 찾은 남편은 다른 산모의 방으로 그릇 안내됐다. 방으로 걸어 들어간 남편은 그에게 등을 돌리고 낮잠 자고 있는 산모에게 다가가서 신나게 키스했다. 낮선 남자가 와서 키스를 하니 여자는 화들짝 놀랐을 수밖에.
그러나 여자가 미처 입을 벌리기도 전에 남자는 미소를 지으면서 말하는 것이었다. “아기를 낳는 산고로 사람이 이렇게나 달라지는 줄은 미처 몰랐어요!”
