이 프로그램은 64개국에서 프로그램 대사로 활약한 어린 축구선수들을 한 자리에 모아, 12세 남녀 선수를 8개의 국제 우정 팀으로 나눴다. 지난 시즌의 어린 선수들이 코치 역할을 수행했다.
6월 27~29일에는 국제 우정 캠프가 열렸다. 어린 코치들과 유명 축구선수들이 어린 참가 선수를 훈련시켜 팀 간에 관계를 구축하고, 정교하게 팀 전술을 세우고, 다른 팀원의 지지를 느낄 수 있도록 일조했다.
7월 1일, 가즈프롬 FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP 국제 아동사회 프로그램의 다섯 번째 시즌에 참가한 축구선수들이 에메랄드 축구장에 모여 전 세계에서 온 귀빈들에게 성별, 신체 활동 및 국적에 상관없이 우정이 가능하다는 것을 보여줬다.
유일한 소녀 코치였던 아이는 “이곳에서 즐거운 시간을 보냈다”면서 “이 프로그램에 처음 참가할 때는 선수였는데, 올해는 어린 코치로 참가했다. 내가 팀의 본보기가 되고, 팀을 이끌어나가야 했던 관계로, 어린 코치라는 새로운 역할이 매우 힘들었다. 내 미래도 스포츠와 관련이 있을 것이라고 확신한다”라고 말했다.
우정 대회 결승전이 열리기 전에 상트페테르부르크 휠체어 럭비팀 감독이 추첨했다.
가즈프롬 FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP 국제 아동사회 프로그램의 다섯 번째 시즌 대회는 결승 진출자를 위해 마련된 독특한 시상식으로 최고조에 올랐다. 각 팀의 주장이 서로에게 메달, 졸업장 및 특별 상품을 수여했다.
결승전에 참가하지 않은 어린 선수들은 FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP 프로그램의 가치를 지원하는 여러 가지 우호적인 만남을 가졌다. 이 프로그램의 핵심 러시아 대사, 러시아 대표팀 역사에서 최다 득점을 올린 Alexander Kerzhakov, 러시아 대표팀 감독 Stanislav Cherchesov 및 러시아 축구연맹 회장 등이 어린 선수들을 후원했다. 국제 주요 스포츠 매체에 소속된 200명이 넘는 언론인과 여러 축구연맹 대표들이 경기를 관전했다.

Children from 64 Countries Participated in FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, July 3, 2017/PRNewswire/ -- The FIFTH SEASON OF GAZPROM FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S SOCIAL PROGRAMME took place in St. Petersburg.

This programme brought together young football players from 64 countries who acted as ambassadors for the programme. 12-year-old boys and girls were united in eight international Teams of Friendship. The role of coaches was performed by young players from previous seasons.
The International Friendship Camp was held from 27-29 of June. Young coaches and famous football players helped train young football players to establish relationships between teams, elaborate on team tactics and help them feel the support of other team members.
On the 1st of July, football players of the FIFTH SEASON OF GAZPROM FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S SOCIAL PROGRAMME met on the emerald football field and demonstrated to guests from all over the world that friendship is possible regardless of gender, physical abilities and nationality.
"I enjoy being here. My first time here I was a player and this time I am a young trainer. This new role is quite difficult for me, because I have to be an example for my team and lead them. I am sure that my future will be related to sport," said the only young girl coach.
Before the friendship final, the main coach of St. Petersburg's team of rugby on wheelchairs took place in the draw.
The culmination of the competitive part of the FIFTH SEASON OF GAZPROM FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S SOCIAL PROGRAMME was a unique award ceremony for the finalists. The captains of the teams awarded each other medals, diplomas and special prizes.
Young players who did not participate in the final game held a number of friendly meetings to support the values of the programme FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP. Young sportsmen were supported by the main Russian ambassador of the program, the best scorer in the history of the Russian national team Alexander Kerzhakov, the head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov and the first person of the Russian Football Union. More than 200 journalists from leading sports international media and representatives of football associations attended the games.
